Karin’s Weight Loss Journey(Why not leave me a message) 4月25日 Dear DiaryWell it has been a long time since I have put anything in here. I know there are a few people that check on me so I should make a new entry and let you know how I am going with my weight loss. As you know we have moved to Brisbane and have joined the Good Life gym in the city. At the gym they are doing a 12 week challenge kind of like the biggest looser though some of the 12 week challengers are wanting other results like muscle gain among other things, but I would say the majority of us are wanting to loose weight. We just finnished our 8th week of the challenge and were supposed to have our 4 week weigh in but because of the public holiday the weigh in has been posponed till next week. I lost 4.4kg in my first 4 weeks and a total of about 20cm off all over which I was happy with. I have been having personal training sessions twice a week OMG so I get worked hard but with great results. I have never felt fitter I even managed 10 pushups this morning and may of even been able to do more and they were on my feet not my knees yay for me. The challenge has been great in the way that I have met lots of lovely people and because we are wanting the same things have been able to encorage each other. There is 4 weeks left and I am going to try my best to get to goal weight in that time. I have been going to the gym twice a day doing lots of cardio 2 to 3 personal training sessions and my eating is back on track. As long as I can get through the weekend without stuffing up I may have a chance of getting the result I am after and boy watch out the person standing next to me when I see those scale read 69kg I will probably screem first then cry a lot. After that the hard part will begin of maintaining that weight. I have been listening to motivation to move podcasts that have helped me keep motivated. the podcast I was listening today was talking about thinking like a skinny person sounds good, I will have to get to know some and learn from them. Anyway got some house work to do will keep you updated with my next result 10月30日 Dear Diary Well it looks like I lost 600 grams. A bit disappointing because I did over 11 hours exercise and burned over 15,000 calories according my polar watch and feel like I deserved a bigger loss. I do however feel in myself like I have lost more and I do feel much better for it.. With all this exercise my body is changing shape and toning so its all good and as long as I keep going I will get to my goal weight. I will have a challenge soon as to how much exercise I will be able to fit in as I have got a Christmas casual job at Angus and Coote I am just waiting to find out my shifts. I am sure I will be able to work around it. 10月23日 Dear Diary OMG I had my personal training session today Mel nearly killed me. We did lots of boxing running and up and down off the stage. My arms were shaking so much I could not write to fill in my progress card so I went on the treadmill for a while very slow just to get my strength back it still took about half an hour to be able to write again. Even now nearly 2 hours later they are still shaking on and off hehe. Mel Said she enjoyed our training session she said she loves training people who try hard none of these woosie punches. I did enjoy it too you really do work harder when someone else is pushing you. All this high cardio training should help to get the weight down. I need a personal cook and straight jacket to stop eating too LOL. 10月18日 Dear Diary When I went to the gym last night I spoke to one of the personal trainers about my weight loss because even though I have over done it on the weekends the amount of exercise I have been doing should allow for the weekends, maybe, maybe not. I am not using this as an excuse I know I still need to control my weekends. I know I can have treats now and then my problem in the past is I don’t know when to stop and I know I have not mastered that as yet. Any way chatting to the trainer she suggested personal training lessons (as she would, puts more money in her pocket hehe) I think she sees me as a challenge and wants to help. I am just waiting for a call from her, she is going to give me a 45 minute free lesson to see if I like it. This morning at the gym I finally showed a weight loss so I am happy about that 10月16日 Dear DiaryWe had a great weekend, Saturday we got up and did a combat class then spent the day together relaxing I did some house work then we went for a walk to the museum and markets. The museum was unfortunately closed by the time we go there. Sunday morning we got up and went to the museum early so as not to miss out this time. It was great the kids had fun then on the way home again we went past the convention centre to have a look while we were there David notice there was going to be a basket ball game on with the Brisbane bullets and Singapore. We stayed for the game Sam caught a basket ball thrown into the audience and Naomi caught a Hummer promotional pack we had great fun. Monday we off to the gym again my polar watch said I had burned over 13000 calories last week but the scales still said you ate too much on the weekend to loose anymore weight ARGH. Well back to counting my points again today, I need to plan for next weekend so I don't over do it. I have a gob interview on Friday for a casual job in a jewellery store just something till I get a better job. I have done a resume and am going to send it out and go to an agency that helps you to find jobs. 10月9日 Dear DiaryWell the weekend was a flop as far as my eating goes but we had a great time. I seem to do very well during the week but blow out on the weekend. I never feel well after either not just feeling guilty but my energy levels are always lower if I don't eat well. My Polar watch keeps a log of how much exercise I do and how many calories I have burned. Last week I burned over 10,000 calories with over 8 hours of exercise but because of my blow out I did not loose any weight I actually showed a gain this morning ARGH!!! I don't know how to change my eating on the weekend apart from staying home pretending that it is still a weekday hehe but there is too much to explore. I will just have to be more organised and take my food with me it is not only me that needs to keep control it is also David so we could help each other. I think as long as he eats right I am not tempted but when he eats chocolate, pizza, chips, cake and everything I should not eat I just blow it. 10月5日 Dear Diary Friday 4th OctoberIt has been a week since my last entry I have not been very good in the eating but not too bad either the exercise has been fantastic though. I have lost 3kg so far so that is not bad. I have finally got my eating under control again the last few days unfortunately there has been no change in my weight this week so far despite all the workouts. My polar watch tells me I have burned over 10,000 calories in 8 hours and 18 minutes of exercise since Monday. We have hired a car for the weekend to check out gliding clubs the weekends have been hard on me trying to keep my eating under control. I am resting form exercise on the weekends though because we are exploring new places we tend to do a lot of walking.Last weekend we went to Coolangatta which was great we spent most of our time on the beach Naomi even did some surfing lessons and Sam bought himself a skim board. |
